Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by!

I am a simple farm girl, saved by grace, with an open heart and sincere soul, constantly seeking the truth of Jesus.
May we find joy in the ordinary, love others well and allow hope to sustain us through every journey in this life.

Christmas Message ~ 2017 ~

Dear Family and Friends,

As another year comes to a close and as we prepare to celebrate our Savior and King, we wanted to say hello, to let you know that we think of you often and are praying that no matter what road you might be traveling today, you will feel His peace, love and joy this Christmas season and throughout the coming year.

We hope that your days are filled with quiet moments to relax and refresh, time with family and friends to make wonderful memories and that you will see beautiful glimpses of His unconditional love that fills your heart to overflowing!

Barry and I are thankful for SO many things, but to name a few: for grace and forgiveness from our gracious and loving Father, our wonderful and caring kiddo's and precious and beautiful granddaughters, for our family and friends near and far away, our church family, for the laughter that carries us through this life and for our little farm here in Texas that we share with our horse, Hussy, 3 cows, 1 bull, 30 chickens, 5 ducks and our very energetic and happy dog, Gus.

This year I'd like to share a passage of scripture that has always been one of the most comforting to me and I am sure to many of you as well. As we continue to celebrate this beautiful season let us look for ways to BLESS others around us as much as we possibly can.

The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-10)
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of God.

May we love in such a way that everyone will know we belong to Jesus. May we bring light, life and love into our world.  May we live in His ways honoring Him through every season along this journey.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

New Years Eve Message ~ 2016

Wow, 2016 is coming to an end and soon we will all begin a new journey as we slip into the first day of a brand new year! This year like most had its good times and challenging times but we have SO many things to be thankful for. I am thankful for Barry, my sweet tractor loving Georgia boy, who loves me even when I act crazy and makes sure we laugh our way through every day!  Thankful for our beautiful little family that brightens our world.  I will always treasure the precious time I was able to spend with my parents this year.  So thankful for the fun times and laughter we've shared with our sweet friends who are SO faithful and true!   Thankful for another amazing year of exciting new things and opportunities with our family at "the gathering."  2016 has brought happy times, sad times, crazy days, treasured memories, firsts, celebrations, busyness, new beginnings, proud moments, enlightenment, preservation and also those much needed times of quietness and still moments. As we begin a new year and new adventures, may we find joy in the ordinary and focus on the positive in the sad times!  May we find happiness in the little things in life and may we cherish those beautiful moments that take our breath away.  As 2017 begins, my prayer is that we will be inspired by those who love well, thankful for the hurdles we've overcome through His loving grace and that our hearts will stay humble and kind through whatever the journey ahead might bring to our lives.  Love yourself, love others and love the world!  Happy Joyful New Year!

Christmas Message - 2016

Christmas Message - 2016

As another year is coming to a close and this most wonderful season is upon us, we hope this Christmas greeting finds you doing well and that in the busyness of each day you are finding a few quiet moments to “be still and listen” for His loving spirit to whisper softly to your heart.

Barry and I are thankful for our beautiful family and wonderful friends, for each other and for the life we share on our little farm here in Texas, for grace and forgiveness, for comfort and love but most of all, for the wonderful gift we’ve all been given, the “true light” of the world. Praying this Christmas season will be full of love and light for you and your family. This year we wanted to share a few of our Christmas wishes for all of us, with each of you.

May our Hope for and in all things be found only in Him.
Our prayer is that with each Christmas tradition we celebrate this year we will be
reminded of the birth of our precious savior, Jesus Christ.

Let His light shine through us into the world and may all that we do be done with the greatest of Love.

Let us find Joy in this special season, in the ordinary things and throughout this wonderful journey of life.

Let us seek and find Peace in our hearts and let living in Peace with everyone be our gift to the world.

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Praying the magic and wonder of this Christmas season will remain with you throughout the coming year. Wishing your family the gift of Hope, Love, Joy and Peace, this Christmas and always.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love, Barry & Tina Ogle
