Jesus may we follow you into the spirit of Lent,
May we journey with you into the unfamiliar places,
Eager to walk with you beyond the ordinary,
So that we can experience that quiet sacred space in your heart,
Jesus may we cleanse our souls and purify our hearts,
Learning to thirst after righteousness and hunger for love,
May we humble ourselves before you,
Expecting to see you revealed in a new light,
With a longing in our heart to share that light with others,
Jesus may we walk with you no matter how challenging the path,
Learning to be patient with darkness and with growth,
Willing to live without knowing the future,
Until your healing and transformation take root and sprout into our lives.
